Who doesn't love croutons added to their salads or soups?! And it's quite difficult to find packaged gluten-free ones which is where this super easy recipe of homemade gluten-free croutons comes in! They are so delicious, the perfect crunch with a garlicky goodness! You will not go back to packaged croutons after trying this recipe!

I love croutons so much and after going gluten-free, I would rarely eat them anymore as I could never find packaged ones that were bread-based. I'm sorry but cheese ones are good but they don't replace a real crouton haha! So one day I decided to try making them myself and it has been a game changer!
INGREDIENTS

Croutons are very easy to make! All you need is:
- 1 gluten-free baguette. This is the one that I use from Schar. You can find it in most grocery stores. (not sponsored)
- ¼ cup of extra-virgin olive oil.
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
- ½ teaspoon of onion powder.
How to make homemade gluten-free croutons
Step one: Preheat the oven at 375. Cut the baguette. An easy way to do it is to cut it in half. Then cut each half lengthwise and cut these 2 halves lengthwise again then start cutting each strip in bite size pieces.
Step two: Mix the spices, garlic and onion powder with the olive oil.
Step three: Lay the pieces of baguette on a baking sheet. You can use parchment paper if you wish for easier clean-up. Add the oil (make sure to mix again before as the spices will go down the bottom) on top of the bread and use your hands to mix it in. Separate each piece on the backing sheet for baking.

Step four: Bake for 15-18 min or until golden brown. The time will slightly vary depending on ovens. Shake the baking sheet at half way. Keep an eye on them as they can burn quickly after 15min. Remove from the oven and let cool. Enjoy!

Tips
Storage: store in a air-tight bag room temperature for up to 7 days.
FAQs
Can I use regular bread?
→ Sure! This recipe was only tested with gluten-free baguettes though so the cooking time might vary. I would just keep a close eye when cooking after 12 min to make sure they don't get overcooked.
