Easy and super tasty, these air fryer potatoes and onions are a great versatile side dish. Well seasoned, tender and cooked to perfection with crispy edges, they're a delicious addition to breakfast, lunch or dinner and ready in less than 30 minutes!
Preheat the air fryer at 395° Fahrenheit. Mix all the spices together.
Add the cubed potatoes to a large bowl (keep onions to the side), toss them in the oil, then sprinkle the spices and stir well, until all coated.
Spray the hot air fryer with spray cooking oil, then add the seasoned potatoes. Cook for 6-7 minutes, shaking the basket half way.
While the potatoes are in the air fryer, add the onions to the same bowl, stir to get all the leftover spices (you can add a little more seasoning if you'd like).
After 6-7 minutes add the onions to the potatoes, spray a little more cooking oil, then shake the basket well. Cook for 12-14 more minutes or until the potatoes are tender when poked with a fork, and onions have a crispy edges, shaking the basket every 5 minutes.
Once ready, remove the potatoes and onions, sprinkle a little salt and pepper, fresh herbs like parsley, and serve as you wish. Enjoy!
Notes
Don't cut the onions too small or they might fall in the cracks of your air fryer tray.
If you double the recipe, depending on the size of your air fryer, , I would recommend cooking the potatoes and onions in batches. If you overcrowd the air fryer, the potatoes won't get crispy edges.
Cooking time will vary by a few minutes depending on your air fryer as each model is unique, as well as the size of the potato cubes.
