Grilled Asparagus

Healthy, easy and delicious, this grilled asparagus recipe is very simple and a perfect vegetable addition to any barbecue. Tender with a light charred flavor, they're versatile and take minimal effort to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus rinsed and trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or oil of choice
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • lemon wedges
  • parmesan optional
  • parsley optional

Instructions

  • Preheat grill on medium-high/high.
  • Toss the trimmed and rinsed asparagus into a bowl with oil, salt and pepper until well coated.

  • Add the asparagus perpendicular to the grill grates with tongs. Grill for 4-5 minutes, flip and continue grilling for 2-5 minutes or until tender depending on the size of the asparagus. (You can flip them more often). Remove from grill with tongs into a plate, squeeze fresh lemon and sprinkle parsley and fresh parmesan on top. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cooking time will vary a bit depending on on the size of the asparagus. Medium to thicker ones are best for grilling
