Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Honey and salmon go together so well, the combination is absolutely delicious! Hot honey is slightly spicy and so flavorful, it's become a favorite ingredient of mine, I use it a lot on avocado toast, roasted veggies, and even in this salad with goat cheese crostini.
- It's quick and easy to make! Broiling the salmon bites in the oven cooks them quickly (less than 10 minutes!) The bites will get satisfying crispy edges and stay tender and flaky on the inside. You can serve them with rice, as an appetizer, or on top of a salad.

Key Ingredients And Variations
- Salmon: you can use any kind you prefer like Atlantic or sockeye salmon. Just keep in mind that thinner salmon will cook faster. Atlantic salmon has a little more fat so it doesn't dry out as easily as sockeye. Cut in chunks, boneless and skinless.
- Hot honey: it gives the salmon that sweet and a little spicy amazing flavor. You can add some red pepper flakes or a little cayenne if you want more heat, or use regular honey if you don't want heat.
- Soy sauce: you can be replace with coconut aminos or lite tamari. It helps give flavor and thin out the marinade.
- Dijon mustard: balances the marinade.
- Garlic: we use 4-5 minced garlic cloves and a little garlic powder to accentuate the taste.
- Lemon: you need the acidity of fresh lemon juice in this dish. You could replace it with a little lime or vinegar.

- Carefully remove from oven and serve over rice or any side of choice. Enjoy!
Notes
- Salmon: the cooking time will vary by a few minutes depending on the kind and thickness of the salmon filets. Salmon is fully cooked once the internal temperature has reached 145° when checked with a thermometer. Sockeye will cook faster than Atlantic salmon which is thicker.
